Description

I am a 52 year old woman with 3 children, my youngest almost 18 yrs old.  I work as an activity director in an assisted living community for those with dementia related conditions.  I quit smoking on January 1st using the patches.  So far so good.  I have quit numerous times, one time for three years.

I came to quit this time after a close friend (my x) had to have emergancy quad. bi-pass surgery the day before thanksgiving this year, and I was there with him through it all.  The fear, the pain, and the anxiety of  a positive recovery, and then the aftermath; going home and healing.  It was such a wake up call for both of us.  A blessing in disguise.

I am feeling great now after 15 days, enjoying feeling physically better and feeling pretty strong emotionally.

I am hear because I fear a relaps if I run into a stressful situation or a situation that causes me great anxitey.
