I feel great and love this freedom.

I had tried quitting several times over the years and have never made this long into a quit. The support from this group is fantastic! I had never told asny one before whrn I was quitting that way I felt that if I started back I would not be held accountable for the choice I made to kill myself. But this time I told everyone and the attitude I started my quit with was 'mess up-fess up'. I don't think I will have to fess up to anything except that I am an ex!

I know that I am still addicted to nicotine and that is why I also have adopted the motto N.O.P.E.  As I get farther in my quit I see so many suggestions, and helpful hints and tips that others have used before me. I have tried some and that did not work for me and some that have.

I have made this a fun journey for me. One that I want to continue for the rest of my life. I wanted to be a happy quitter. I am not saying that I did not struggle or that my journey has been easy because it has not. I just choose to look at the good side and keep on keeping on because the way I see it, if today was good tomorrow can only get better and I don't want to miss one minute of it. I have lost enough of my life to 'nic' and I will not give him the satisfaction of getting even another nano second of it.

It felt good to hear my 4 year old granddaughter tell me in church Sunday that she liked my perfume.( I have been wearing the same perfume for years only it was masked with smoke.) I want to hear that more often.

God bless all of you! Have a great smoke free life!

I like this quit thing. Laurie

WOW!!!  Great story to share.  How sweeeeeet when your granddaughter liked your perfume!  You have made it a fun quit, usually when I am having a rough day, you are sharing something fun or helpful and it helps me.  We are close together, so I think of us as quitmates.  I am so glad that you are making it!  You know how you go to a play or dance that your kid or grandkid is in and you enjoy it but are so afraid they will fall or forget their lines.  that's how I feel about you and a few others who are in similar time points.  I want you and those other mates to make it just as much as I want to make it!!

so let's keep quitting, shall we?!?!

It is wonderful to see you feeling so positive.  Good for you!

Your attitude really DOES affect how difficult or easy it is to quit.  Your are choosing the right one!
