There are so many new people on here since I was last here in Dec. I admit I gave into the stress of this horrible move with low finances and smoked. I do not tolerate stress well at all. After 3 months of smoking I feel worse than ever!!! Can't breath and no energy what so ever. My new date is 3/28 so I can re-read and read and read. I will be here everyday reading blogs but don't expect to blog much as I will be cutting down with the cigs. I don't see any more major stressors in the near future. We are moved and life is calm and simple.

I have missed my friends here and am looking forward to meeting new friends.

Welcome back Connie, one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time or if need be one second at a time but you can do this, be willing, determined and totally committed to succeed and you will succeed, we're all here for you.

You know I am  so glad !!!!

I so remember how awful I felt when smoking and how discouraged I felt as I kept lighting them up ! I had such a hard time going to sleep at night ...the wheezing and coughing and trying so hard to clear my lungs and throat ! I never ever want to go back to that !

I so want you to feel the return of  healthy  breathing and the freedom from the NEED to smoke ! Stay close to ex Connie ! You can and will do it !

Looking forward to seeing you back here full time!  Glad the move is over and you are settled, so sorry that you have been smoking.

I was where you are about 5 weeks ago.  Quit a few days EARLIER than planned last month and am doing great.  For my 4th and final long-term quit (I'm done forever) I used Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking book.  This helped me hammer into my head that relapse was unacceptable going forward.  Best wishes to you, I feel great 5 weeks in to my quit and hope you quit with the same ease!  Try that book, you get to smoke while you read and almost everyone who reads it and follows the instructions stops!! 🙂
