I am a 40+ year old single woman with a 22 year old son and 5 neices and nephews. I want to be around to see them do all the big, important things in their lives. Family is so very important to me.
Last week one of my clients who has a mental disability decided to call 1800quitnow. I've been thinking for the last several months about quitting and how much better I would feel if I did so. This was just the kick in the pants I needed.
I also have wanted to run the Komen Race for the Cure 5K for one of my friends mom's who is a breast cancer survivor. However, smoking kept me from being able to run that far or lose the weight necessary to do so. It kept me from doing a lot of things in my life that are so very special.
So here I am ready mentally. Nothing is worth this challenge more than anything I've done besides raising my son.
