Description
I'm 55 years old, smoking since I was 16. I have emphysema and don't want it to get any worse. I'm sick of smoking and feel very guilty about all the years of secondhand smoke I've exposed my family to. Married 29 years to a non-smoker, have 3 grown sons, yellow lab Riley, and 4 geckos.
I quit after surgery on 10/28/10. Not my first quit, but it will be my last. My whole life (and my family's) is much better without cigarettes. At first my family didn't quite believe I was serious (after so many false starts, I understand how they felt) but after about a week (longer than I've ever gone before) they started cheering me on. The support is really important to me.
