bad day

Today is the first time since I quit that I have seriously contemplated getting in my car, driving to the corner store and buying a pack.

There are many, many family issues going on today, that just makes one start thinking...why bother?  I have three grown children.  Today I don't like one of them.   I love them, I'm their mother, but I don't have to like them.

Lord give me strength to make it through this day.

I'm praying with you Sander. Don't know if you've been reading the blog this morning but there is lots of chat about this very issue. Ahang in there - come back and shout out if need be. NOPE!

This is the time to expect these types of craves.

Just hang tight. they usually aren't any worse that what you've felt before and they aren't day after day.

Well, the cigarette won't make you happy.  It will just start the addiction all over again.  There is no such thing as one cigarette.  You may be mad at your child.  I get mad at mine frequently, but does that mean you want to kill yourself?

I agree with Peggy, you've worked too hard to get here. Don't throw it all away. You can do this!

Living today....and not smoking - will give you the confidence to make it through any crummy day! I always have to remind myslef that I had plenty of bad days when I smoked!! Take care!

family issues are going to come. I'm fairly new to my quit. the family issues started on day three of the quit and haven't gotten any better to this point. God is there I cry my way through some days, but I make it and you can too.

Forgive the tardiness on my response, I missed your blog earlier, just want to tell you that you did the best thing by coming here first.  If you handled that monster commute in the blizzard kids are nothing! Love Jean's response live a long life smoke free and get your revenge that way.  This too will pass, you are a big hearted woman and those grandchildren want you around for a long time! Breathe deep, fix some tea, watch a movie, and relax.  Do not even think about a smoke... it is no fun doing the detox all over again.  We are here for you!
