baby steps

I left for AZ this weekend with the family.  My husband has this thing that we fill the gas tank every time it hits at 1/2.  I was able to wait until that time before I smoked.  My daughter said  just "light up".  I told her I can't smoke in the car because that was one of the limits I set for myself.  It wasn't as hard as I thought.  If I can do 2 hrs then I can do 3.  These are small steps I didn't think possible 1 month ago.  My quit date is approaching.  I still wonder how I will do then but not as much.  I will dwell on my small victories

good good. you are right, if you can go 2 then you can go 3 and so on. Thats good you set limits and practice not smoking. Set rules for yourself and follow them. When it comes time it will be YOU that will have to enforce the no smoking. nobody else. great job on keeping positive too 🙂

Hey good for you !! Me too, baby steps. But really they are BIG steps. I actually drank 2 cups of coffee and waited 1 hr after waking up to light up. Honestly, I didnt even need or want one, I smoked cause I could. I was feelin perfectly fine up til I smoked. Then I wanted another and another.

Guess thats why they say NOPE ,not one puff ever.

Keep up the positive energy 🙂

You are on the right path.  You need to start stretching those times and waiting thru a crave.  By the time I got to Quit day it was a relief to just decide to smoke or not and not all that waiting, etc.

I'm glad for you! Those victories are important.  The positive mind-set is also so important!

If I keep myself busy, I don't miss them but when I'm sitting around, it's like all I want to do is smoke one right after the other.  Kept busy in the yard all day yesterday and only stopped twice and put them out before finishing them.  Feeling like I may have some control as long as I stay busy.  Good luck to all of us....Have a GREAT Day!!!!!
