I'm on day 2 of the little white Chantix. I had 11 cigs yesterday vs the usual 24. Not real impressive, but a BIG gain for me, considering it was just day 1.
Any Chantix X's out there that can give me a preview of the workings?
I am on day 5 of Chantix. I have cut back a lot too, without even thinking about it. My dr said smoke like I normally do. But I don't think about or crave cigarettes as much as usual. You aren't even supposed to really quit till after you start the blue pills, so I think we are doing really well. I personally know lots of people who have quit on Chantix. They said one day they looked at their pack and the couldn't stomach the thought of smoking. The medicine did all the work for them.
I quit w/ Chantix and I am on Day 43 of no cigarettes. Just make sure you take the pills like it says, after you eat with a full glass of water.
I only used the Chantix for 1 month and weaned them down on the last week. I didn't want to spend another $140 for the scripp. It's not cheap but it is worth it and it does help.
You will still have some cravings to fight when you do quit, but it is much easier. The only way a person would have absolutely no cravings,,is if they were dead,,lol Just know that,,you still need to find a little strength inside of you to get through the first few days. The best thing I ever did , was to come to this site on Day 1. The people here really helped me get past the first half of the day. When I knew what to expect, feelingwise, then I was pretty good after that. You'll see,,the only way to know is to try.
