Ya Gotta Want to Quit or The Strength of YOUR Commitment

Occasionally in a new blog or new member post I'll see, I'm gonna try, I want, I need to, I gotta quit, my significant other wants, .....all weak kneed half hearted kinda maybe I will commitments.
The success of your quit relys on your commitment and dedication to the quit.
I firmly believe that anything less than 100% no holds barred life threatening determination can likely result in failure.
The weaker the commitment the shorter the quit. The stronger the commitment the longer and stronger the quit.
If a Quit and a Marriage were compared both rely on hard work, determination, internal commitment.
Yes they can fail but not as long at the continued determination to succeed is met. Or a puff is never taken
To succeed in a quit you must be willing to know there will be discomfort, there will likely be mental anguish, there may be intense swings in mood and possibly a host of other things.
But beyond that there must be the underlying determination for success. Nothing can end a quit except you.
But you have to KNOW in your heart nothing will cause failure, you will not allow it, your brain is in control, it can make your body obey.
In your mind and heart make a vow, a commitment, or whatever you want to call it, make it stronger than any urge, crave, thought, want, make it more powerful and more valuable than anything you own or ever owned because it is, your very life depends on it.
There is nothing on the face of this earth that will cause me to smoke or dip or chew, or use any form of nicotine again. The End.
