YUP - it DOES Suck!

Feels so bad not to be able to help everyone. Thank you all for the prayers and support, It means a LOT!

Long story short,,,,,I fell and broke the humerus ball of my right arm into several pieces, It is immobilized until surgery scheduled for 7/12. They are doing a shoulder joint replacement,,,,,only option to even TRY to swim again.

I will try to be in touch as I can.

You just focus on resting and healing...there are plenty of people here who are taking up the slack.  ; )  1 year sounds like an incredibly long time to me today, but it also sounds doable, thanks to this group of folks.

Oh, Nancy!  I sure hope Dale told you about the sewer backup in my condo building in DC that kept me from calling/coming up last Monday as I had hoped.  I have a few days off as soon as i finish this double-Amsterdam turn.  And I would love to run errands, cook  dinner and watch movies with you.  And, despite what Brenda M says about Maryland drivers...  I AIN'T ASCEERED.

Nancy, I recall a blog that you wrote a while back on how excited you were to find that your quit has allowed you to increase your endurance in your swimming.  I am so sorry to hear of your injury.  My quit was 8-19-12 not that long after yours, but long enough that I look up to you in encouragement and guidance as I follow right behind you in your footsteps.  I pray that God removes any pain that you are feeling.

I am so sorry to hear of this horrible accident.  Good luck on the new shoulder and get better real soon. That new shoulder should get you back to swimming in no time just like the bionic woman.  God Bless you Nancy.   Congrats on 1 year!!  That is so WONDERFUL!!
