YAY.......

I am so happy  I've been doing my milestones every 30 days and here I am for my 90 day milestone or my 3 month milestone which ever it's the same thing. I believe when I made it past 3 wks I knew I was going to be a person that was never ever going to smoke again. I enjoy breathing too much. Life is good and life is way too precious for me to die with a smoking related illness when all I had to do is quit smoking and be totally out of my mind for 2 or 3 wks  to become an EX smoker. I know that I have to be very careful not to be careless and think oh 1 won't hurt me well we all should know that's total bull crap. I will not pick up a disgusting cigarette and take that chance with my hard earned quit. I grew up listening to this song, I must ask my dad who sings it since my quit it's stuck in my head but I have to smile because it doesn't apply to me anymore.  TELL SAINT PETER AT THE GOLDEN GATE I JUST HAVE TO MAKE HIM WAIT BUT I JUST HAVE TO HAVE ANOTHER CIGARETTE. I say Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa for me because thanks to all of you on this site you've helped me reach another milestone. Please have a wonderful day and wk end. XOXO especially to all of you elders.

Hope you are feeling better today and not having too much pain from the extraction yesterday.

The song you are referring to was written by Tex Williams but recorded and sang by many different artists, even Willie Nelson. The lyrics are really funny and sad as they ring the bell of truth.

So sorry you don't have the support of your husband with your quit. I know how frustrating it must be to have him smoking in front of you. My husband has never smoked or had any serious "addiction" other than Pepsi so he has no clue what I am going through and doesn't realize what a great feeling it is to go into a store and NOT buy a pack of smokes or even to get through a craving.

You are strong and can get through this whether it is one minute at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time.

Lots of great advice on this site to help you.

Reading your blog is lifting my spirits right now!!!   90 days!  That's amazing!   I'm on 22 hours now.... yes,  you read it right... 22 hours.  But it's been crazy!   I'm staying positive so far, but I seem to be having really bad anxiety.   Not sure if this is normal?     Anyway, reading about your 90 days is so inspiring.  It helps to give me the strenght I need to keep going!    Thank you Marilyn!
