Holy cow! thank you to everyone for the support! I hope to soon be able to support others as you guys are doing for me!

Well let's see, Monday didn't go quite as planned, but things have definitely improved since then!

I've now been smoke free for 3 days woohoo!!!!!!

No gum, patches, or medications. Just. Quit.

I knew I was sick and tired of smoking. I knew I wasn't enjoying it anymore, and that I couldn't understand why I was still doing it. I'd much rather be able to go for long, strenuous hikes with my son!

So, I went back to the gym last week, started lifting weights , and -get this-running! I LOVE it! I've discovered that "runner's high", and it is SO much better than lighting a stupid cigarette!

So now, I'm in that crappy phase of quitting meets cleaning, and it feels like bronchitis. But it's manageable, and I know it'll go away in a couple of weeks, and I know that this time will be the last time my lungs feel this rawness.

This morning was a test. I was at my wits' end with my son, and I proceeded to throw on my workout shoes and RAN around the block to clear my head. Talk about a different approach to life!

Okay, so that was my week. Now I'm gonna visit your guys' pages to see how your week went.

I look forward to getting to know everyone. Good luck!, and remember, that which is worth having is worth fighting for!
