Who's making the rules around here.......

OK----first----Sootie and I  apologize if our 5 or 6 (I think Jordan call that "all the time") comments on our message boards bothered any of you. Apparently.....the "subject matter" hit a nerve.....wonder why? We were trying to illustrate (perhaps in a clumsy manner) how newbies and others feel when they state a premise and many of you jump them. Most recent example----Dixie...there are plenty of others. It is not that you disagree.....disagreeing is fine...... demoralizing is not. One post stating your thoughts is sufficient. But people will go back again and again and again.......some even stop talking to the blogger and start talking to each other. Read back on some of them...not just Dixie. It isn't a pretty picture. 

So-----we apologize if we hurt your feelings. How bout you guys....?????

We determined that Tommy was the best blogger so he won the toss to post...but he, of course, does speak for me also............ 

Sorry some of you got so upset. But it is the truth. Many new people have been hounded off here.....NOT with tough love but with hurtful comments........ sorry if ours were also.

A good rule of thumb is the old saying, if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all! Most everyone really has great feedback and advice so anyone who gets a response that hurts their feelings should be aware that it is not the norm and can always try messaging the other people they want to talk to or ask advice from! I think you all are wonderful and am very greaful for all advice and comments!

I"m sorry I shouldn't speak for anyone else. Please let me change that to I wasn't talking about either one of you. It was a general statement about my experience on here since last November. I, for one, have been guilty of saying things on message boards that i shouldn't.    I just looked at your message boards to find out why you would think that I was talking about you.  I honestly hadn't read it last night, but someone else's. Where someone admitted to making their blog condescending "to cut" on purpose.   

But, It seems you ALSO think that my comment on Gru's blog had something to do with you!  I understood that blog as explaining to newbies that some comments might sound harsh, but are made to warn them about this addiction.  My sarcasm was to illistrate the alternatitive of "warnging them of pit falls" or holes or however he worded it.  Every time I mention "sugar coating" you get offended...  Why are you taking offense to things I say when I have never once accused you of sugar coating?  If that is what the blog was about, I do apologize because I was talking to newbies, and not about anyone else or how anyone else does things.... but about how useless it would be to "yes" them to death.

For the record, I am not commenting about you, untess it is to you.  Please ask next time because, as I said, neither of my comments had anything to do with you.
