When life changes, it can feel uncomfortable. Quitting smoking, moving, losing or changing jobs, beginning or ending relationships, changes in health status, a new diet or exercise program - the list goes on! There’s often a sense of loss, sadness, or anger in letting go of the way things used to be. Writing in a quit journal, talking with a good friend, taking a walk, mediation, counting your blessings, having a good cry, or thinking about someone or something that makes you happy are a few ways to allow the process to flow, and feelings to run their course. It takes time, patience, and practice before new routines or situations feel as comfortable as the old ones once did. The secret is you need to keep going in order to get to the comfortable, happy, easier part ahead. As long as you keep moving forward, you will get where you want to be. For better or worse, just keep going no matter what, and KTQ 🙂 Seek Joy! What do you like to do? What inspires you? What makes you laugh? What makes you feel important, special, or loved? Seeking joy is the best way to find it! Take time each and every day to do a few things that matter to you. Life is too short to spend worrying, and many things we worry about never end up happening anyway. Enjoy yourself; you're worth it and you've earned it! What are a few of the enjoyable or relaxing things you like to do that help keep you moving forward when change occurs?
