Hello. Yes it's been a wild while. I have been the floundering quit start, quit start that Dale just posted about today. It is a very miserable place to be "fer sure"!  I've been learning and soul searching since my set back.  I was a bit over ambitious to start my quit when I did and it kinda jumped back and bit me. But I'm not sorry that I got started and have come so far!   I am so over the stinkin things!  Working a new plan and I've got emergency Nic gum (2mg) to take once or twice a day if I get that "I gotta go buy a pack" feeling!  I dont think i will need it very long. It is so good to really know I don't want to smoke anymore!  Not feeling deprived now. Feeling joyful!  If things are rough for you don't give up!!!! You might need to do a "redo" but that's ok. I'm so happy about all the cigs I "haven't" smoked these last weeks and the ones I have smoked I have NOT enjoyed. For now I'm trying not to obsess or think too much but just go about my business without smoking. :-). I don't know if or when I will start "counting" again. But I will keep track and share with you alll when I feel more confident. Altho I've been quiet, I've been reading your blogs every day and am rejoicing for all the days stacking up!!!!!  WTG Zackie, Pops, Carol, Deena, Linda,Jennifer, Carolyn, Ellen, Storm, Moody and all the rest of you Champs!  Keep on rocking!  Oxoxox to everyone!!!!! ❤ Ann

WTG! You have the right attitude to do this thing I know you do Ann! Thanks for the shoutout!! We've all experienced thinking about quitting and not doing it until we put our words (which are just those) into ACTION! Remember we are all here cheering you on. I know I'm on the ANN CHEERLEADING SQUAD!!! And soul searching makes this a lot easier! I'm completely a different person since i quit. So remember Ann I'll be cheering ya on no matter what!

Well it is nice to see you back here~ you will do it when you think it is right for you. It has to be your time, your idea, your mind set and YOUR QUIT!!!  Don't flounder too much I have heard it is not good for your wazoo!

Wishing you the best in figuring out this journey.  Just do whatever works for YOU.  You'll beat that demon.  I know you will.

Thx Jackie. The time is actually "now" but I'm only counting every day as Day 1 for awhile! You know I wanted to mention too that when I started this journey (back in March) I really wasn't mentally "prepared" even with all the reading and all I had learned. I still was not prepared for the "fight" my addict mind would put up! Shew! Now I understand it a whole lot better! Hee hee!

Glad you are back!  I am on day 320.  Still on NRT.  I buy the 4mg and bite them in two.  It is cheaper.  I know not everyone agrees on dragging on NRT but it is working for me.  The experts say "As long as it takes."  I am mindful of it.  I smoked for 52 years.  I am doing really well.  You will figure your own plan out.  You are a wise woman.  God bless you.

Awe, Ann. I am thank God that He lead me to your blog this morning. I am so proud of you for being so honest. You have come a long way since our journey began together in March. When we began this journey together in March, we were not aware how raw we would actually become. Then when life pours salt on our wounds, we don't know how to react. Remember to read your begining blogs and see if that helps. We as recovering smokers need to remember that we are so immature with our quit. It would be easy if we lived closer, we could always come "rescue" eachother with getting our mind off of things; however, sometimes it is something we need to face alone. Just know that you are NEVER alone, and I am ALWAYS hugging you when you need one the most!!!!!

Please know that you can do this....you just have patience with yourself. It is scary to go through this....and I pray daily that God gives you the strength to follow through with your goals. Go hour by hour, minute by minute, or even second by second if you need to. Bad days happen and honestly there are many times where I have to pry myself away from the clock. Always here for you. Love you, girl.

Have so much faith in you. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for.

Hey, good job, that's the way to think of your journey! You might of jumped back onto the Road to Slavery, but you have found your way back--continue on that Road of Freedom.

XOXO
