What we don't want to hear

I 'm back on the "No Easy Button"  theme I guess as now some folks are staring to ask about quitting, Why now I don't know, but they are. Co workers,, family members, patients etc,,,

I remember well , as I've said before, Years ago asking older relatives,co workers, customersand patients  who had quit and been quit for good long times how they did it, and the common thread was "Well you've got to want to first of all."" No No No No  I want the "EASY BUTTON!!!!"     There is no easy button.

But ! It does'nt have to be the hardest thing in the world,, we've convinced ourselves it is, but If you decide it's not going to be it won't.

I made up my mind after reading "The Easy Way" by Allen Carr that I was going to be a happy Ex Smoker so I'll say it again for those who were not listening and are still struggling and miserable.

Get the Nicotine out of your system in about 3-7 days and allow yourself to piss and moan about how hard it is .

Then get up and say "YIPEE I AM A HAPPY EX SMOKER!!!"   We have been brainwashed into thinking it is hard, PLEASE!! PLEASE!! PEOPLE!! it is'nt nearly hard as what we have been brainwashed into believing!!

Ok I'll stop,, but really  think about it  I smoked 2 packs a day for over 36 years!! Nobody! I mean Nobody! thought they loved cigarettes anymore than I thought I did!!

Thanks for listening and thanks for all your support you are what keeps us all going

Thanks for the insightful blogs

James
