Someone gave a list of things to do when you aint smoking. I can't find it. I'm doing fine, but a friend wants to give it a shot....yea her!

Anyone have this list?

That just goes to show blogging helps! Glad all is going well! How many days now? Good for your friend.

I think it said 49 days when I logged on but I can't find it now.

Think it will be good for my friend. See, she just couldn't believe I had done it. She doesn't have internet - 76 years old and doesn't want it. So, another friend has bought Allen Carr's book for her for Christmas and I'm feeding her stuff from this site.

It's a wonderful world.

Thanks folks.

BTW I can't log in here to much as I need to forget about smoking and I'm not there yet. But while I'm here for my friend I'll add a bit.

After I screwed up, I read Allen Carr's book again. It was even more convincing after breaking my quit. But I'm on my way now. Today at my friends house was the first I've been around a cigarette for 49 days (I think, lol).

I didn't have the slightest urge to grab her pack or light that 1/2 one she'd left in the ash tray. This was a first for me in 50 years since my pregnancy. Always in the past when I tryed to quit it was all over at first sight of a smoke.

If anyone is having trouble read Allen's book. I totally give him all the credit.

I've gained 15 lbs but the last 3 weeks my weight has stayed the same. Fortunately I needed a few pounds and my eating is getting back to normal now.

Good luck to everyone quit or getting there.

Glad to hear it!  Congratulations.  I give that read a lot of credit too.  That, and this site.

Good luck helping your friend.  I have a couple of work-mates that I've been ribbing about quitting.  They're younger than I, but I kid them that with them taking days off their life, we're relatively the same age.
