Hey Jen! Nice to see you! I wish I could say you sound great...Please remember that you CHOOSE to light up you don't HAVE to.
What will make your quit day different from today? xo
I jsut opened this and read it. It was in my messages and before I go further I would like to thank the person who sent it to me, though I didn't include their name.
What will be different on my quit day, as opposed to today?
1 - I will have read the easy way to quit
2 - I will have read more blogs and messages on here
3 - I will have more excitement built up about quitting
4 - My quit kit will be complete (mostly)
5 - I will be smoking less than I smoke right now. I'm already down to 20 from 27 without any hard work
6 - I have started saving blogs that I want to reread during my first day
7 - I have begun activities which I don't allow myself to smoke during
8 - Today I started shutting down my computer when I smoke putting distance between computer use and smoking (It's my major activity)
9 - My thinking about smoking is already changing, I no longer give myself an excuse or allow myself to think I need a smoke
10 - I have begun doing activities that make it nearly impossible to smoke, thereby creating a bit of a life without smoking
Is that enough? Is it too much? I dunno, but it's making me feel better about the quit.
The fear of quitting is getting a bit less and the excitement is growing. I know there will be hard times where I just have to go through it and do the best I can. Those are the times I hope to be near my computer so I can come on here. If not, I will find it on my phone and get on here that way. Hopefully, my phone battery won't go out on me. I will try to keep it charged for the first month. After that, I don't think I will need it so badly.
Not that I won't need this site, I will and I know it. I just mean that I don't think I will need it constantly with me.
