Is there some place I can go to read about this? I keep hearing "beware of NML"! What is it?

There is a blog every Wednesday but I think they're probably on the individual who posted them page! I wish they would do it as a group, because it is hard to back track to them! There was also a  member 'jonescarp aka dale' that had info on his home page!

Basically the time from two through four months when urges are dwindling but can still blindside you and come on hard 'as if' out of no where! You can't really let your guard down but all the same skills that got you to NML, will get you through!

No Man's Land is the 100 days between 30 and 130 days quit! There is a blog posted by Sarah every Wednesday! Everyone is welcome to join in, and discuss NML!

Here is a link to this week's blog!     Tommy

There does seem to be some shift after about 130 days marked by greatly diminished crave episodes.

Tommy gave you the link to last week's NML blog. If you go there and click on Sarah's avatar, you will be taken to Sarah's page where you can read all of the Wednesday NML blogs.

As Lisa says----many people do seem to find this period of time to be the "turning point"----but don't be disappointed if your own personal time table "doesn't fit"----we are all different and the time period is not etched in stone. It is good to know what may come................

Hi Pat, NML is the abbreviation for  NO MANS LAND. It is the time between 30 days and 120-140 days of quitting. The time is different for different people but it is where people can and do lose their quits. The newness of the quit wears off. People let their guard down and they begin smoking. If you know what to expect and keep from becoming complacent you will be successful and remain quit after NML!

I looked forward to Sarah's weekly blog each Wed. I knew others were in the same boat and I like checking in each week. In NML, I was feeling stronger and not reading the site all the time. So when a sneaky thought would creep in out the blue, I would be surprised. Sarah's blog does a nice job of reviewing those occassions. It is all a matter of continued education and support. Have a good smoke free evening and join me in protecting our quits.  - Maggie
