I looked back to see where I was when I started Ex and found my first post.Perhaps some folks quit for a bit of time will do the same.Go find your first post. Moe Unfiltered

It has been 27 hours since my last cigarertte.I've got 2 patches on (was 3+pack a day smoker)

and I am chewing the gum to.My lung doctor Ok'd it.I wonder if I waill be the same person if I stay stopped.

This Wednesday I am going to see the "Mad Russian".He has helped ppl with quitting.Last time I quit I gained 80 pounds.

I have been working up to this decision,my brother has been quit 5 weeks and I feel inspired by how hard my best friend is fighting her cancer. Does anyone else worry they won't be the sme person if they stay stopped?

I am still quit used the patch and gum less than 5 days and I am the same person but a lot less of a doormat. I am so grateful to be quit. Also I have not gained 80 pounds like I feared about 20 and three have come off. My brother is still quit and I saw my lung Doc last Wednesday. He was so excited for me that at my request he jumped up and down like the Toyota commercial

It takes committment to get to the end of the road with smoking.

To be able to say no more and mean it.

To never back down when you are tempted.

To realize you can't go back.

Are you there yet?

You can be.

It's 95% mental

I wrote my first blog around the same time that you did. I remember that day well. I was nervous , but ready to get started too. Congratulations to all of us for doing a fine job.
