What a Day!

Just want to say a big "Thank-You!" to everyone who responded to yesterday's blog....Dont know exactly what is was....I knew that I wasn't going to smoke.....but I just had this bad feeling deep in my gut.....it left very quickly, for no real known reason, I guess that I am now officially in NML.

I went to work today as usual and even though I should be working, I do check the blogs on this site a couple times a day.  I was overwhelmed at the response to someone saying that this was her last blog - she was leaving the site - nothing positive here - etc, etc, etc.  For those of you who are here often, you all know what I am talking about.

I do believe that ecigs are safer than smoking, but it is true that you are not really facing your addiction.  But the bottom line is "everyone has to live their own life".  I still have many friends who continue to smoke -- many friends who are still addicted to nicotine.  They are still my friends, even though I have decided to break my addiction.

I must learn and adjust, to living in a world of smokers.  There is no way that I can totally avoid it. We must all -- smokers, non-smokers, ex-smokers, vaping people (not sure what they are called, lol) -- learn to get along and tolerate the various opinions about nicotine use.

I want to wish everyone - from the people only thinking about quitting - to the ones who have been quit for years - a very good and peaceful evening.

Well welcome to NML Jennifer...It's certainly a whole new ballgame traveling through this land. At least for me it is. I smoked for over 40 years & this will be my first summer smoke free since my old mind can remember, ha. Loving it!!!

Hang on to the camel girl, and holler forward when the ride gets bumpy. You can do it!

Keep the faith!

Jennifer you are always so positive.  It's very inspiring.  Even when you have a rough day you have a great outlook and something positive to say.

That blog earlier today did get a bit crazy.  I can understand both sides.  You have to have an open mind on sites like this because there will be lots of different opinions offered. When someone is successful at something they usually figure however they got there is the right way.  Some believe it's the ONLY way.  That doesn't work for everyone.  Some people travel better on the back roads.  It might take a little longer to get where they are going but they reach the same destination in time.

If this journey didn't have a "back road", I'd still be sitting on the couch smoking my head off.  I could relate to what she was trying to say.  She's been more successful with e cigs than anything else she has tried.  I just think that instead of beating her up for using them, people here should offer encouragement to help her get off the nicotine.  Again, you take the advise that helps you and shake off the rest.  If we are here, at least we are trying.  Keep up that great attitude.  It's refreshing.
