Share your quitting journey

What.....I don't have a Blog????

Well I should have because I'm coming up two years without a single cigarette. What can I say but that it was finally time after more than 20 years and several previous attempts to quit. Now it is a done deal. This is something you know deep inside your being. You know that you, your clothes, your house, your car, and the air around you will never smell smoky again. Someone said the best quit is an "informed quit". Given all the information about Big Tobacco, the government (who allows it to continue), and what addiction really is, I pushed myself into an intellectual corner that even I could not escape. April 9, 2012 was the day I quit cigarettes for good.

To everybody out there please know it can be done. Be thankful you have a body of people, like this community to lean on and a lot of great reference material. Please don't forget to read Allan Carr's book " Easy Way to Stop Smoking".

Love to all and I welcome all comments.

Congrats on two years - that is wonderful! It looks like, based on your page, that this is your first blog - which is great!

Congrats again - happy anniversary! I hope you do something special to celebrate!

Congratulations on two years!  That's amazing, what a wonderful blog, backing yourself into an "intellectual corner"...I like that.  Can't believe you have not blogged before.  You are right, we are very, very lucky to have this site to come to.  We have each other to lean on and the support here is priceless.

Happy Anniversary on the 9th.
