Weight gain... when does it stop?

I have been exercising like a crazy person, trying to watch what  I eat, and I am still gaining. I have never been over weight before, I guess it was the cigs that helped keep my weight down. Well that and being active. I can't go without eating now or I get dizzy. Is this normal?  I'm not talking about long periods of time, I have had to eat something or drink juice after only about 2 hours. I have eaten enough salad over the last week until the thought of eating another one make me want to scream. How much weight gain is too much. I have already gained 10 pounds! Any sugestions would be appriciated. I know some of it might be muscle weight, but not all.

Dana,  If you are concerned, please go get a check up.  Have your glucose checked.   Some is certainly muscle weight.   How do your clothes feel.  For me, my clothes are a better indicator than my scale.  Hang in there friend!!!!

Me it is all about eating too much and not moving enough, I'm with Dale, sounds like you're a little hypoglycemic so eat 5-6 small bites a day, I've packed on about 25 but 99% of that was sitting here at the computer and eating.  Weather is nice so I'm outside now and not in here eating! I refuse to buy new clothes and i refuse to smoke over it!

Sander is right when she says---how do your clothes feel? I've never owned a scale...I change eating/exercsing habits when my clothes feel tight or when I feel sluggish.  You know what they say about weight gain---eat less---move more (easy for them to say!!!!)

I'm STILL trying to teach myself the proper way to eat after quitting smoking close to 3 years ago.  I never ate right.. I would always smoke and not eat. Now I  don't smoke.. and I still don't eat.. well... I don't eat till around 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

That's not good and I have gained close to 30 lbs! I'm not even 5 foot tall and have always been a very small petite size 2 or 4.. not no more! I'm into a size 8 now..   I'll get it figured out tho, I'm not really too worried about it all. I haven't felt this healthy in all my life.  My quitting smoking has been the BEST thing I have ever done for myself. Please don't be put back by weight gain, give it some time. Whatever you do.. don't smoke over it!

Dale..( jonescarp) is right.. your blood sugar goes down when you quit smoking..   drink some cranberry juice and see if you feel better..    Stick around and stay smoke free.. it will be the BEST thing you have ever done for yourself.. I promise

I plan to stay smoke free, even if I reach 200 pounds which is thankfully still far off from where I'm at. My clothes are tight around the middle and in the legs. I work out  to target heart rate about 45min to an hour most days. I've always been able to eat a lot and not gain. Maybe I should stop reading labels and just eat like I always have since I'm working out more.Thank you all for the advice. N.O.P.E.!

I have gained 40 pounds in 150 days and I cant breath anymore ,I feel so full all the time even hours after I eat, none of my clothes fit me and I feel like crap. I dieted the first 2 months ,working out, eating 1200 calories a day ,I still gained weight so I gave up and fell to my cravings and honestly I just want to feel good again , hopefully this weight gain with come to a stop soon. I'm wondering if my weight gain is now affecting my health. I'm tired and sleepy all the time, my stomach is bloated all the time and just to get up is hard.  It was very difficult when I started gaining because I had just lost over 20 pounds . I'm very concerned!!!!! When does this weight gain stop????
