Hey Ex Family,

I am 56 days free today and loving every second of it.  However, I stuffed my face like crazy for the first few weeks.  The good thing was that I started working out the first day I quit.  Well actually I had been working out all along as a smoker, which was not fun!  So much easier to work out when you have your full lung capacity!  I started weight watchers a few week ago and can really see the difference.  Not only do I see a difference in how my clothes fit, but I see a difference in how I think about my body.  By tracking what I eat I am accountable for what I am eating.  I enjoy protecting my self from putting anything harmful into my body.  The planning is wonderful and I have made some pretty tasty things for my family!  This morning I made the best breakfast.  I microwaved 2tbs of chopped white onion and 1/4 cup green peppers  with one chopped piece of turkey bacon for one min. then I added 1/2 cup of southwestern egg beaters and heated for another min.  Next I broke up a piece of laughing cow cheese (the best invention ever!!) and put it into the mix and nuked it for another 1 and a half mins.  It was absolutely wonderful and filling.  I got this from www.hungrygirl.com (great source for healthier eating)!!    It feels so good to be taking care of my body.  The body is such an amazing forgiving structure that is truely a gift from god!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful smoke free day!  Any other Weight Watchers out here?  I would love ot swap some food ideas!

Oh Man! I am glad to see this post.  Not only are you such an inspiration for your 56 days free, but I had been dying to know someone who has used Hungry Girl recipes.  Everytime I go into Target I put up the cook book, stare at it, look through it, and then put it down because it just seems too expensive for my broke college student allowance... However, that could be my reward to myself for quitting especially since I have been noticing I am piling food in my face at a faster pace than usual.  Geez, in just a day or two I would be able to buy it with the amount of money I have been saving from not buying cigarettes.  Do you have the cookbooks or do you just use the sources online?  I have never even thought about looking at the website, so I am going to check it out more in-depth after I write you.

Anyway, Congrats on 56 days free, as well as, keeping the rest of your habits healthy as well!  You are doing so amazing, and I hope you are truly proud!  Keep up the great work!!!

Thanks so much for the support.  It has been a really fun experience.  I havn't gotten any of her books.  I use the online source.  I also use alot of online weight watcher sources.  I am also a student and work part time.  I got a used weight watcher's point calculator and use it at Aldi.  I spend about 60 a week on all my food needed to feed 3 people.  I do the slow cooker about 3-4 days a week and that usually last us the entire week.  The key is just to plan plan plan and not eat out.  that was my huge downfall.  I was a fast food junky!!  I drink a ton of water and cut out all soda and juices.  Also writing it down really keeps you on track!!  You keep up the great work and have a wonderful fresh air filled day!

Weight Watchers is a really great group. My mom has lost over 20 lbs since starting over the summer and her confidence has doubled. Be very proud of your accomplishments and enjoy taking care of yourself! I have some good lowfat recipes as I am a healthy eater myself, also a bit of a "foodie" - so nothing lacking! Let me know what kind of foods you enjoy and I will give you some ideas accordign to your taste.

Many times I tried to quit for a couple of days and always felt like I was gaining weight, and in reality was so the pressure was too great -- a vicious cycle.  My resolve today is total focus on self - yep completely selfish.  I had started "Quick Weight Loss" back last year, lost 5 lbs the first week, and quit going.  They called me once a week "you have 21 weeks left".  Yesterday I returned and if I stay on the program I am certain I'll be 30 lbs lighter by March.  Don't let the name scare you... It is truly a healthy quick weight loss and a healthy living maintenance style.

I LOVE THAT WEBSITE. I have just been amazed by it since I opened it up and started to look around.  I can't wait to try out some of the recipes and the snacks that HG recommends.  Thanks for sharing that, I think it will be a big help to keep me from running out for a candy bar..  I have thought about looking into Weight Watchers again as well.  Maybe I will check that out too since her website give WW points which makes it so easy!

Thanks again! And congrats again on your success!!!!
