Walking in the rain and CT scan

Yay it finally rained!  I'm in Texas so my southern friends know what a big deal this is. Longest drought in history down here.  Brush fires, poor little plants and trees dying and the heat.  So finally this past weekend the rains came.  Rained for 2 days straight where I am.  I haven't been able to go outside and walk because of the heat, the pollen count and the ozone warnings.  Give me a break.  I still do my little mini stepper but its not the same as the natural movement of walking and getting outside. Finally about 6:00 pm on Sunday the rain slowed to a sprinkle I said to myself I'm going no matter what.  So I picked up the umbrella and off I went.  It was so nice to actually enjoy a walk without the heat.  I reach 35 minutes this time.  I went over 30 minutes people !  I'm so proud of me. lol

CT scan today.  It went pretty fast and the staff were really nice.  Well, if you ever have to have one of these, it's nice to have nice folks around you.  I also had the contrast dye.  This was to check my lungs.  What a trip that was.  This should be the last of my test, hopefully.

I think this is the first time in my entire life that something is going on with every single one of my family members, including me.  And for the first time in my life since an adult, I'm not smoking to deal with it, I'm just dealing with it.  I like my new way of dealing.  It isn't always easy, but you know what, it's easier now that I'm not smoking.

Love, Emma ^-^
