Walk toward the light! EX Journal Day 112

Hello everyone!

Those of us here new and elder who are truly compassionate and loving deep down where we live are joined in spirit come what may...This site has been my life line since I quit 112 days ago and I am beyond  grateful for that… I doubt I would have stayed quit without the support, encouragement and confidence I got from all of you (especially Nancy)...One thing I have learned in my 56 years is that all difficulty is an opportunity to grow spiritually…I love quotes and this one is my own:

“Adversity is the harbinger of transformation”

So let us transform our ‘Collateral Kindness’ (thanks Tommy!) into ‘Collective Mercy’ (Thanks Thomas!) and stick together to keep saving lives and friendships…How blessed we are to have found a way back from a deadly addiction to the light...xo

Without you in my first days here, I would not have made it.

You took me under your wing and pulled me up and loved me without knowing all of my faults.

I will be forever greatful that you and Sky Girl were there for me and that you both reached out to me

! I am thankful for this community and for the "collective mercy" and the "collateral Kindness" that I've been shown.

I am thankful for the friends and support here. I'm happy to give it and I'm happy to recieve it. I want to be here with you and many others to pay it forward to others that need love and support (and we all do that differently-thank goodness).

Hey and this photo reminds me of the Maxfield Parrish painting EXTACY...I don't know how to share or I would. The woman looks to me like she's learning to stand alone, but the sash around her waist gives her ability to go back for support from her community...It reminds me of all of us--collectively.

Oh wow...Great minds...I discovered this painting when I was about 22 (so last week LOL) and I fell in love!!

Congrats again Soul Sister!! 

I think I'll ask for a framed poster of this for my 23 birthday! :~ I know...dream on.

Difficulty is an opportunity to grow spiritually only if you are willing to dig deep,  hold an open mind, have enduring patience and an abundance of love.  Else it is just difficulty.  Difficulty breeds success in those who can see the 'other part of the forest.'

Of COURSE all the above stated is true...I state it because I know that some people never even imagined to think in those terms because it was not presented to them...unless somebody tells you some day in terms that are relevant that the cashier at the grocery store could actually be the angel  in disguise you have been waiting for because her niece just went to the doctor who will ultimately cure your son’s cancer (yeah but if you don’t say HI and chat with her you will never hear that Drs name) That is why I say…Pay attention…Everyone we meet could be  our savior depending solely on our PERCEPTION  of them in that moment…

I am happy to throw in my congratulations and thank you for the wonderful supportive person you have always been to me and others. It pleases me to no end that there is this support and it causes me great anguish when we are torn by arguments and petty bickering. Thanks for keeping it real. Love ya.
