WHY I POST POEMS:

Dear brothers and sisters,

I wanted to tell you why I post my latest poems here. I do so because I feel safe with you. I know I don't always talk about myself and my quit but in sharing my poetry, in some way I receive the therapy that keeps me clean from relapsing into smoking and drinking. When I was a child, I used to share my poetry with my mother. She has long passed away. I find solace in all of you. Thank you for allowing me to share my poems with all of you.

As a writer, I completely understand how your poetry is your inner self.   I envy you that you can share your poems on here!  I can only share mine with my best friends, never on a public blog like this, drawing attention to my inner most self and feelings to strangers!!.....   Good for you, being so open!!!!
