Virtual Reunion - EX 8

The date/time of Sunday, July 26 at 6:00 PM (EST) has been selected for our virtual EX 8 Zoom gathering! So - MARK YOUR CALENDAR! 

For the past several years, we have gathered informally for a reunion. It has been an amazing experience for each EX’er who has attended! Unfortunately, we had to cancel EX 8 which was scheduled for May in Virginia Beach. We have decided to do a virtual EX reunion on Zoom! 

We will need to ask people to sign up ahead of time in order to properly plan for this event. When we have the list of people attending, Mark will send you an email with the details needed to join on Zoom. You can sign up here in this blog. As long as you would like your invitation to go to the email you used to sign up for EX, that is all you have to do. However, if you would like to have the invitation sent to a different email address - please send me a private message with that email. (DO NOT post email addresses here.) 

This will be an informal event - just as our “real” reunions have always been. If you need any instruction regarding adding the Zoom app on your PC. Laptop, tablet, or phone - just let me know and we will get that info to you. It is best to add that app before the meeting.

The folks listed below are a part of the planning committee for the reunion - so, if you have any questions or concerns, please let one of us know.

Great news JoJo! You should be able to go to Your App Store on your phone and download the Zoom app - then you will be ready. Mark will send info in an email later with the link you will use to join the meeting.

Wonderful! What kind of device would you be using? If you have a webcam on your PC or laptop, you can use that. Or you can use a smart phone or tablet. (I use an iPad.) Let me know and I will explain how to add Zoom. Then Mark will be starting the meeting about 30 minutes ahead of time to help those “first timers” to Zoom to make sure everyone is set. Thanks!

There is a link in the root post if you click on it from the device you're going to be using it should take you to the appropriate app store to download the one for you.  Be sure you don't download the Zoom Rooms one as that is for controlling conference rooms for Zoom calls.

There is also options for troubleshooting on your own to test audio and video within the app.

Also I join from my computer which has webcam to show video and then call in via my phone and there is an option to connect the audio (by typing in 6 digit code and # on my phone) for better clarity.

Hi everyone.....

I would love to come, if you want me to be there. I've been MIA due to my Crohn's disease. It's been getting bad again and I'm not digesting food very well. The doctors are trying to figure out how to get it back under control. On a positive note, I qualified for pandemic unemployment since I was actively looking for a job and had covid back in April so I was paid back to February on and at least have income for now. When I first got it I received enough to buy a good used car and I'll be able to get back and forth to any position that I get hired to do. Now, if I get my digestive system under control and find that job I can be back in my own place with Zonie in no time. As long as my body cooperates, I can see light at the end of this long tunnel. Your friendship and support have meant the world to me. I love all of you.
