91 days quit today and still going strong.still chewing 4 to 5 nicorrette per day but hopefully will stop that in the next month or so.it just keep getting better and better and lesser craving as time goes.best feeling ever.
You don't "need" the Nicotrette any more than you "needed" to smoke! You have to pick a date and tough it out and withdraw from Nicotine! Yes, it is 1000% better than smoking but not necessary.
Addiction Freedom gives you so much more Recovery than using NRTs for the long run.
It's your decision, of course, but I just want you to know that there are many Blessings waiting for you if you are willing to say YES!
You might start weaning yourself from the gum by cutting it in half, then substituting a piece of regular gum of the same flavor for every third piece, then increase the substitutions, then cut the gum in quarters (if you can). That way, the change to zero nicotine will be gradual.
Cheers on the 91 days. You got this! Next goal stop - Triple Digits.
Needing the nicorette after 3 months is probably just in your mind. If you don't need it on some days - you don't need it! My guess is it's just a lingering binky thought. But this is YOUR quit. And you do what works.
