Hi all!

Well I did smoke a half of one.. if not I would of quit my job! It was so awful there today! But when I realized what I did I put it out! I guess it was just a natural reaction. I have to get used to not smoking at work! They smoke outside, but I am so used to going out to smoke! It was so hard, I am sorry I disappointed you all! But it was just a half and that was around 5 or 6pm! I am not going to smoke anymore! I felt awful when I did do it! 😞

grrr...I have finally learned that every time I relapsed, it was from "just one puff"....now I just don't go there...one is too many...a 1000 never enough....so why have one...

Glad you got through this day...may tomorrow be better....

No worries.. stay off it .. m sure you dont want to get back to smoking. Hang in there

JonesCarpeDiem

Your job depended on it.

You might be able to use that one over and over with yourself.

see this is the problem.

sign of trouble?

run for the cig

next sign of trouble?

run for the cig

A cigarette has no power unless you provide it

I hope you'll take jonescarp's message to heart. We give a cigarette the power over us. We CHOOSE to smoke. It is a choice.

Now, you can CHOOSE NOT to smoke. It's up to you. You also won't have a job when you can't breathe or are coughing all the time.

Just sayin'......

And you haven't disappointed anybody here. We aren't the ones who smoked. YOU are. You only disappointed yourself.

Get over it. Move on. And for heaven's sakes go to www.whyquit.com and TAKE NOTES!!!! Re-write your personal list of the reasons why you want to quit.

You CAN do this!

no i dont want to start smoking again! every time i smoke my asthma kicks in and i can hear myself weezing! not a good thing! I hate this addiction! Why did ppl have to make something so addictive and over powering in the first place!

I went to whyquit.com and sometimes i wonder why i want to quit! for my health yea.. but seems like its not worth the stress of quiting. I dont sleep good.. and when i do sleep its not quality sleep!  Argggg.. this freaking sucks!

Check out http://quitsmokingonline.com - or Carr's book (link on my page or Maggie's) it can really help you better understand this addiction. You will find out that the cycle of nicotine addiction is what is causing a great deal of that "stress" - not helping it!!! I swear!!!

You are back on the horse - that is the important part! To STAY there is where the reading can help. Takecare!

Strudel is right on. It is the addiction that is causing the stress. Everytime you light up it is because you need your nicotine feeding. The course at quitsmokingonline is wonderful. If you are thinking that quiting is not worth the stress then what you are doing is entertaining the possibility of smoking which could eventually lead to relapsing.

What I loved about the online course is that it helped me commit to my decision to quit. I really did not understand until then that I had to decide that I would never smoke again, and really mean that. To question that statement would just be to torture myself.  Once you get to this point your stuggles will be easier.

Make your mantra NOPE - Not One Puff Ever.

Well are you still with us, Skittles?  :?

🙂

If yes, then great -- you're probably back up to 4 days and breathing a lot easier by now.  If not, then just take it as a lesson and start over when you're ready.  😉

well i am back again. Sorry i have been gone so long. It just seems when you go back to smoking you dont want to hear ppl telling you to quit. lol. but i need to so bad. my asthma has gotten worse. besides i started biking and running alot more and my breathing is affecting my progress. I feel alot more confident now than before. i dont work anymore i left that stressful place plus my finace likes when i stay home and i dont mind it myself.  now if cravings hit i can sleep it off. I have the patch on this time to help me come off the nicotine that is stored in me. after the 9 pacthes i have i am going to go it alone per say.
