Update on Missy

I got an e-mail from Missy (mandolinrain).  Her Mom's health is deteriorating, and her DIL's twin has passed away.

She is up to her ears with it all.  She wanted me to tell you she is missing us and will be back as soon as she can.

How awesome that you keep tabs on each other.  That's what I call supportive community.

That gave me warm fuzzies.

best wishes to Missy; that's a lot to process all at once.

Keep the quit

Tell Missy for Me we will not let her go. I haven't seen my 95 year old Momz inna year face to face. We video call every Sunday, sho loves it. Other pandemic social effects are modifying our spiritual DNA I fear but we must endure in order to rise above. I have discovered that the strongest part of me thru all of this is my quit. Rejoicing that you still have yours. Life is a life sentence. You'll never walk alone.

Thank you for sharing this, Nancy.  Right now we are all experiencing some tech-related distancing, and I fear we are losing touch with each other. Thanks!

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
