Well look at me now. A little less than two weeks ago I was smoking a pack a day! 13 days later I havn't had 1. NOT A SINGLE PUFF!!!! It is 11 minutes into my 13th day and I am happy that I have made it this far. I am happier than ever. I ran for the first time yesterday. It was only for a few yards but a start is a start. It takes baby steps from here on out. I have to take it one day at a time. I even washed my blanket to see if that would help with the smell in my room. I know that it won't take it all out, but who has time to wash from floor to ceiling litterly.

But anyway I have to start day 13 off the right way... By going to bed. Good night everyone.

and remember, "If feels good to be a quitter, it feels right."

Congrats!!! I’m so happy for you. You soooooo inspired me to go for as long as I can. I've never tried to quit before. I'm going thru this training spell to see how bad my urges can get for now. My quit date is set for Feb 15th but I've just began the process of going without. I wanna be done with smoking by this date and done with smelling it in my hair and on my clothes.

Stock up on sugar free gum.And dont be shame to use nicotine gum to get the edge off.Believe me,you'll get tired of chewing it.Because sometimes the nicotine is very strong in it.makes you spit. All in the process.Stay in the forum for support.I quit dec 12,2009.And doing just what i adviced you to do.And it's getting better. When i wake i dont even want a smoke. Now i can have my coffee without wanting to smoke. And it helped,by mean and my wife Quitting together. All ash trays washed and put away.Say and you'll have extra money too.And be able to take long deel breaths.

Your blog today is fantastic!  I enjoyed reading it.  And one of my favorite things to do is hang all the bedding outside on the clothes line to get that outside fresh feeling.  I also use linen spray.  I know men probably don't think about things like that, but your blog mentioned washing your blanket and getting cigarette smell out.  It is nice isn't it?  Keep going in this direction, you are doing great!
