I have fallen off the wagon - badly.  I started smoking again on July 8th.  The reasons are not important but I need to apologize to all the people who have supported me these past 6 months.  I have set a new quit date for July 30th.  Already ashamed enough so I'll just end it there.

Bummer....but it is never too late to get back on!  And...sounds like you have some positive memories of not smoking to encourage you so.....On July 30 we will be here.

Thanks keeptrying.  I appreciate the support.  What I can say is that I did not smoke for 5 months and 2 weeks.  I have only been smoking again for about a week and a half.  That means that in the most recent past, I have more experience not smoking than smoking.  I'll rest my hat on that for now.

Don't be ashamed be proud that you are recommiting to quiting. There are so many non judgemental people here and that is why I just came back myself. Good luck you are in great company. Focus on the positive not on the negative and you will do fine. You were very brave to post. Don't worry you will still have plenty of support and encoragement and more determination that ever to succeed.

Good for you for catching yourself so soon! You know what it will take to quit again! Will you know what it will take to STAY QUIT? Try to get that part figured out and you'll be JUST FINE!

You're singing one of my old songs.  I've forgotten how many times I've quit.  Vigilance is everything.  Good to see you again.

All I can say is thankyou.  Your words do indeed brighten me.  I was silly to think I had licked my habit.  Dangit, that is one thing I learned.  Stay connected.  I believe after some reflection that I slipped because I needed something familiar in my life coupled with more stress than I am used to.  I recently:  moved, got promoted, am now supervising 40 people, working midnights, and getting divorced.  I am/was lonely and needed something "comforting".  Why couldn't it have been a young lass?  LOL
