Share your quitting journey
YEP! Uh oh...it's me Sadquit....ooops I mean Yesquit (LOL). I say" Uh Oh" because yes, some of you guys are absolutley right, I did not take that big plunge to quit yet. But all is not lost. I am still tracking and one member shared with me that they leartned a lot while trying to quit. How right they were! What I can clearly see is that I smoke more when I'm home, where there are no NO SMOKING" signs or signs saying "Smoke Outside Only!"
Soooo, as I still move in the quit direction, I HAVE limited myself to smoking either in my bathroom or outside instead of throughout my one-family home ( another baby step for me), and Guess What folks, I'm geeting ready to take down another, so far from 14 cigarettes a day to 13 to 12 to 11. YES 11 cigarettes a day for me. I know, I know, you are may be thinking - What's the Big Deal?
The BIG DEAL is 1 - I have finally got off my lazy ________ and started to DO somehing about smoking
2 - I can see a small diference in my smoking habit
3 - I can HONESTLY say "I don't like this smoking thing anymore", as opposed to saying
I'm not addicted, i just love to smoke, I can quit anytime I want to (LOL), and
4 - I have been blessed to have online Friends that care about me and value my life
and understand why I am an addict.
Please keep me in your prayer as I work this out slowly, because at the end of this (hopefully short lived) process, I am going to do what just everyone is saying: "GO FOR IT! DO IT NOW!"
I'll say this again. When I say my morning prayers, I always ask God: " Please guide and protect ALL BecomeAnEX members and if I read about a person on the blog happens to be having any ind of challenge, God and I have a conversation about them, me telling God what the concern is. So, I don't know Tommy, but God and I have had a chat.
THx again Members, your stories, your concerns, your joys , your blues, your whatever you want to put out here...
and
we
have
AWESOME BECOMEANEX
writers
here, too. Best, Yesquit
