Two years ago today I started the day as a NON smoker and stayed that way. This is a day that I'm going to remember the rest of my life. I did it. I kept my promise to myself. And I no longer live each day kicking myself, filled with regret that I smoked and smelled like an ashtray.

$7,682.00 did NOT go up in smoke... and 21,950 butts were not blackening my lungs! I can breathe, walk up stairs without getting winded... man o man... life is good!

I'm THRILLED that my quit is SOLID and I'm not going to make this mistake again. Join me in being quit... it's a BEAUTIFUL place to be. And, it's DEFINITELY worth making it through a craving.... you CAN do this too.... you CAN!

That's wonderful, Christine! Wow! Congratulations on being quit for 2 years!! What an awesome accomplishment! I just past the 1 year mark, so I'm working my way towards 2. Yes, it feels fantastic to be quit for a long time, although with my COPD, I don't have as much wind as others who quit who haven't developed the disease, but in most areas everything is soooooooooo much better!

Sylvia... nice to see you. I had a diagnosis of COPD and was on inhalers... the next step would have been heavier duty pills. I also had pneumonia three times in ONE year... the last time almost killed me. I'm no longer on any meds. I keep an inhaler around as a "just in case" kind of thing. I also make sure to get the flu shots AND I've had the (used to be called...) lifetime pneumonia shot. They now recommend having it every five years..

My breathing isn't perfect but it sure seems like it compared to what it was. I feel blessed that I found Chantix... it was my last resort.
