Two Weeks - The Longest Time Lost

It is so weird how the last two weeks have been awful, terrible, slow, frustrating and all around icky. Yet, I sit here today and think, "Wow, I've been smoke free for two weeks - where did the time go?" I'm proud of myself for making it this far. I will admit to one slip-up on that first Friday. I found a pack that I didn't know existed in my laptop case. Of course the mental voices started up and I snuck off to have a puff. Only within the first couple puffs, I felt ill and found I was almost forcing myself to continue to smoke through the God Awful taste! I crushed out the cigarette, came home, pitched the pack, and admitted my slip-up to my husband. He just laughed and said that's why he never understood why I smoked to begin with!

Anyhow, I've avoided this community some during the first couple weeks. I was having more than enough thoughts about cigarettes without sitting here and holding conversations about them! Now I'm back to try and stay smoke free. Another way to be accountable and all of that.

Hope everyone else is doing well!
Val
