Hi all-

I got up this morning and did my 5K walk.  The fall colors are amazing.

On Saturday Oct 2- I celebrated 5 months smoke free - I went to the casino for a couple of hours with my brother - and we marveled at how smelly the place was ( he's an EX too ) and we really hadn't noticed it before.

I was astounded at the number of people in wheelchairs or with oxygen that are still smoking!  I am so happy to be a non smoker.  Someone asked me if that was a tough way to celebrate - by being around all those smokers - I said NO - it was a passage - from who I used to be - into who I LOVE BEING NOW!!

Enjoy your day

Alice

Boy, Alice, I hope you don't hang out in the casino very often. Have you read Thomas' blog about second-hand smoke? Yuck!

BTW, congrats on 5 months!! Way to go, girl!

I don't hang out in casinos - I make it there about 2 or 3 times a year.

🙂  Second hand smoke is what kept me outside in rain and snow , etc.  I never wanted to expose anyone else to my filth!

So glad that's not me anymore!!!
