Trigger? Or memory?

I was helping my daughter clear leaves off her driveway. When I stopped for a moment, leaning on the rake, I had a sudden image of myself lighting up. *big sigh* Remember that? I asked myself. Yep. So glad I don't do that anymore. It's been almost six years and I still have those moments. Not triggers. Not cravings. Just memories. I let them flit by like a memory of a past lover.

I became nicotine-free on Christmas Day 2017. That's what I use as my quit date. I had smoked cigarettes for 45 years, then vaped Juuls for a few months before quitting cold turkey when I used up my supply of pods. I am a retired widow, living in Upstate NY.
