Trail Update

I am deep in the Healing Cave reading the scrolls The Old Goat left for me. I can't tell you where this cave is located as I was told to keep that secret so Ol' Nic can't find it. I will only say that I can see the trail back across the desert and am watching all the travellers on the trail.

The Sheik just left me. The meeting we were in went very well.

He renewed his vow to protect the trail across NML and all the travellers on it. He also told me of seeing some lone travellers crossing other parts of the desert of NML. He has men watching those travellers also.

He did tell me that Nic and his companions had been seen at Relapse Rocks. The Sheik said no traps had been found as of yet.

I am warning all travellers near there to be very careful. Anyone on days from say 75 to 90 should be very wary. You are at the Relapse Rocks and Desolation Point. I have rescued many that fell over the side of the trail there.

All the oasis have been kept restocked with supplies by the Sheik and his men. I have sent more camels back to the trailhead also.

If you see the Sheik, or one of his men, do not fear them. They are sworn to protect you and help you along the trail.

I send wishes for a safe journey in this message to you.

One step, and then another, will get you to where you want to be.

It is ALWAYS wonderful to hear from you, I hope the newbies find these blogs and get as much joy and strength from them as I did.

Blessings to you.

Thanks for the update on conditions in NML, as well as the continued efforts on upkeep. Hey, is it really your birthday? If so, hope it was a happy one. Actually, I'll just say that whether it's your birthday or not. = )

About the Author
I am a male that underwent coronary artery bypass X3 (triple) on 10/22/13 at the age of 55. I was living on about 20-30% of one coronary artery and my left heart output was only 20% to 25%. I spent a week in the hospital after surgery and went home. Then had to go back a day later for another week because I had pneumonia. Finally a few days because of a slight arythmia. All told it has been about 2 1/2 weeks. I am past the cravings by now and only have the urges to contend with. I really don't suggest that anyone quits smoking using this technique though. I'll have to carry the scars from that day for the rest of my life. The large one down the center of my chest, and the ones from several "silent" infarctions. I came that close to the next world. Never again will I subject my body to that (at one point in my life I was smoking 5 packs of cigarillos a day). I now have to say N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) every day of my life. TheOldGoat-Joan, I miss you terribly my friend. Elder Lists Guilia's: (/blogs/Giulia-blog/2017/06/18/elders-list-ao-december-7-2016 ) or Smorgy's (Chronological Elder List)
