Well tomorrow is my Big Day. I feel like I will be prepared, and I will kick this nasty addiction once and for all. I have been reading Allen Carr’s book, Nicotine Addiction 101, and anything else I can get my hands on – including this site. I have also been making/writing game plans, meds on hand, joined my fitness pal to combat the weight gain, and Healthy foods in the house. Today I am going to wash furniture covers, wash walls, and open all the windows and start airing my house out.   I am getting myself a emergency bag prepared, filled with all kinds of things to keep my hands busy,  healthy snacks, and readings to keep me committed to the quit. The past few days I have been experiencing a bundle of emotions, the one that is surprising me the most is the fact that I’m finding myself excited for my new life without cigarettes. Reading many of your post, and how freeing it is to become an Ex, I am more excited than nervous.  I know it’s not going to be a cake walk by no means, but I know I will and can do this. Tomorrow is also my husband birthday (were both quitting) and the game plan is -  were going for a walk after he gets home from work, and after his birthday dinner were going to the library – it’s a smoke free environment, it’s free, we can add a new book to our emergency bag and we can’t squabble with each other there.  Day two, were going for another walk, and instead of sitting down relaxing in front of the TV were going  to do some Tai Chi, and on day 3 were doing something fun – were going shopping!   I am ready to take on the Nicotine Monster! I want to thank those of you who have given me such kind and truthful words of encouragement and the support I needed to get this far, and I am sure you all will be seeing a lot of me the next couple weeks!

I WILL BE COMMITTED TO THE QUIT!
