Well, I tried being a smoker for a decade. Smoked for 8 years, quit for 7, and sadly - started up again just over 2 years ago. I'm so tired of smoking. Tired of spending all my extra cash on cigarettes, tired of not being able to breathe properly, tired of stinky hands and stained lips, tired of robbing my cells of their nutrients and tired of inhaling toxic fumes. I have so much to live for. I'm ready to feel my emotions more fully. To breathe more fully. To live life to the fullest. 🙂

Keep putting one foot in front of the other with your eyes on the smoke-free prize.  The more you read about this addiction, the better prepared you'll be.  Quitting is a skill that can be learned.  Just like any other skill it takes commitment and perseverance.  The journey gets easier as the days go by.  Stick with us!

I am happy for you. Tomorrow i start my first quit day. I really liked what you said about wanting to feel your emotions. I know I tend to mask them with cigarettes. Very proud of your decision.
