That's right.  Quit smoking for the 14th and final time.  This is hard.  Hard.  I feel excited to be finished and pissed that I don't have a cigarette.  I've got my Bible near, Allen Carr's book right here.  I'm so glad to read about you all who have relied on both to help.  I already screwed up.  Last night--before bed--was my last one.  This morning--after 14 hours smoke-free--I scrounged and searched until I could find one more.  I did.  Three hours ago.  And, I'm ready for another one.  I am so glad to find you here.  Thank you.

Hang in there.  I know it is hard.  Quit last Thursday, I am on day 6 right now, had tried a couple of times before. Had read Allen's book last time and quit for about a month and then started again.  So, hoping third time is a charm and hat 14 is your lucky number.  It is a personal number favorite of mine and my husband's.

Thank you!  That's funny--3 is a good number for our family. 🙂  Good for you on day 6!  I admire your determination so much.  Thank you for the support, too.  I can't believe how much I don't like this...  The upshot?  I know that moving through this brings us to a much better place.

Hang in there... I personally had to remove ALL cigarettes I had stashed here and there, INCLUDING the mound of BUTTS I had been saving for the times I ran out of my smokes. In the beginning of my quit (this is day 11 for me), around day 4 or so I scrounged around my house and ended up finding a BIG BUTT and I didn't hesitate in lighting it up. Then I felt horrible because not only was it disgusting as far as the way it tasted, but because I had taken so much time to build myself up to stay away from it and gave in SO easily!  That didn't stop me from continuing my quit, though!!! So, throw 'em away!  AND read Allan Carr's book again, and again and again....drink water or juice when you have a hard craving OR chew some gum. Keep your HANDS busy too. MIND, MOUTH, HANDS.... KEEP 'EM ALL BUSY with something else besides cigarettes. Listen to MUSIC.... BREATHE.  Laugh!!!  I'm rootin for ya!!!!
