But yesterday I had planned on NO NICOTINE, but I had a piece of gum towards the end of the day. I feel guilty. Today I'm going to try for no gum.

I have to go to the dr in a few minutes but I wanted to post. STILL no cigs but I STILL used the gum hopefully I can get thru today without it then after today be nicotine free! At least I'm smokefree.

Dang, Mel.  You're doing great!  No need to stress over the gum thing.  You're doing great!

You are doing fabulous and I commend your drive to do it without crutches!  You are a better woman than me.  I find the combo of wellbutrien and patches somehow less frightening.  But as someone wrote to me, fear of quitting is larger than the quit so I'm working on that.  My quit date is approaching.  I'm so impressed with you!  Keep it up!

Great job on 5 days smoke free!! Don't worry so much about the gum. If you feel the need use it. It sure is better for you than smoking. When I quit with the patch I thought I would never take it off. Kept it on for about 10 weeks, then the day came that I knew I was ready to take it off.  Your still early in your quit, the habit part is still strong. Don't be so hard on yourself about the gum. Your doing great.

I know that I shouldn't be hard on myself. I went to the dr today he's up'ing my wellbutrin, so that should help. I'm thinking I need some gum now. But I'm goin to try not to chew it so today can be my first day totally nicotine free
