Three days since I've checked in

I hope everyone is doing well. I am! Today is 87 days smoke free.

Started reading Allen Carr's book. My mom is quitting - drinking and smoking apparently. Sheesh. Dad sounds like he is stressed out over it. Last time I talked to her she seemed a little loopy and must not have had her hearing aid in because I had to yell and she still misunderstood almost eveything. Funny in a way.

They are trying to find the best portable oxygen device for her.

I have had a few more shifts as head cashier and it seems to be going well. I am only part time, and with the holidays our hours got REALLY cut - 20 this week and only 15.5 next, but my supervisor says I can come in on my days off to do somne of the online training so I can make up some hours. I can't even pay for preschool with only 15.5 hours of pay - and I have to pay even if she doesn't go because I'm not working.

Today the temps got above freezing for the first time in a week. A heat wave!

And I'm not smoking!

I quit with the help of Chantix on September 14, 2013. I did the pledge. I wrote. I answered other people. I had to teach myself that smoking didn't actually make anything easier or better. I learned other coping techniques. I made friends here. I just didn't smoke each day.
