Three Weeks Quit!!

Drum roll.....I've made it 3 weeks and 3 days!!  Survived my trip to see friends!  The thought of smoking doesn't "pop" into my head as much...it still does but passes quickly.  Was so happy to tell my friends that I finally quit smoking....I am one of the last in our group to quit.  Of course they are ex smokers so they know the quit drama!!  My friend said she was surprised that I didn't seem to be bothered by it.  I said I KNOW...I still tell everyone about the book and how different it is this time from the last time I quit......much easier.  Funny thing I discovered...my daughter must be very proud of me because she has told everyone!  Ha!  How nice!

Still eating a bit more than usual but that is slowly going away too....try to chew gum before going for the food!!

Funny thing....I still get enjoyment from my car not smelling like smoke and having ashes all over the place (didn't realize this would be such a source of joy for me!) and hugging people and knowing I don't smell like smoke.  I bought some new perfume to smell even better when people are close to me or hug me....a present I bought myself with savings from not buying cigs.

I hope everyone else's journey is on track or back on track....don't let the slip ups doom your quit...get back on track.  (I had slip ups on my previous quit but threw out the pack I bought and chalked it up as a temp mistake not as a failure!)

On to week 4...one month!!  Yay!
