I look back when I just happened to find this site , I can't even remember how ! I read my own blogs and can actually see what this addiction has done to me . I have smoked for 45 years and never "really" wanted to stop. I watched vary dear friend ,who was a dad to me have a lung and 1/4 taken out . We did roofing together and would sit up on the peak for an hour after work and smoke well he spoke like a wise old Indian he was 65 at 70 he was still at it only he would sit up there with an oxygen tube than went all the way down to his truck,I was by his side when he died. For some reason that wasn't enough for me. It's as that is supposed to happen! After all he smoked 2 packs a day as long as new him. Well now here is am looking back and all I can say is WTF have I done !!! The blogs I read are a real inspiration and I fell maybe my dear friend has shown me he way . Thanks Joe Back RIP

My sincerest condolences for your loss! Honor Joe's memory and protect your Quit! You know that is what this wise man would recommend! Build your Quititude and Kepp them away from your face!

So sorry for your loss! It is said with addiction that some must die so others can live. I lost my mom at 58 due to copd. Not I have copd because I thought was it won't happen to me. The best time to quit smoking is NOW.

Thanks for sharing about your friend and how he is still in your heart. Glad to hear that the idea of giving up the smokes may not be such an awful thought after all. Hope that Ex continues to be a source of hope and support!
