The only thing smoking (vaping) is good for

If you are here reading this, you are an Ex, in your quit, or getting ready to quit. If you go to the resources that are provided by many, you will find that nicotine addiction does nothing for you. It does nothing for your physical well-being or your mental well-being. It slowly kills you and takes you from this world prematurely.

In discussion with one of my favorite elders Giulia‌, I had an epiphany, smoking is good for 1 thing, and one thing alone. That one thing is becoming a part of this community. All of our experiences have some impact on our lives, smoking is no different. So, if I had to pick 1 positive from this experience is that I have met some of the most kind hearted, loving people in the world. Perhaps, The Ex hides its mean people until a later date and time, if I find those, I will update this Blog.

What does this mean to you as a new quitter or someone going through their quit? You have found the only thing smoking is good for, and that is finding this community. Since you've recieved the only good thing smoking can offer you, you might as well give it up!  There is nothing that those cigarettes or vapes can offer you now that you don't already have!

I promise you, the kindness you recieved here is addicting and it will do nothing except promote your self worth, and your self esteem! Congratulations on finding us, now it is time to quit!

This group helps you overcome the notions running around in your head,

that you will fail and you can not succeed

that you are not strong enough

that you are not good enough to handle stop smoking/vaping

We all know smoking is not healthy for us and has consequences

But what is worse and not emphasized by the medical community or all the stop smoking/vaping campaigns is The Mental Drag it puts on your spirit and soul

There is not another group around like EX to show you the errors in your thought pattern and thinking that YOU ARE WORTHY and are more than capable of becoming a nonsmoker/vaper

Boy you're right about that.  Quitting smoking has led me to the most amazingly loving, generous, open hearted, passionate, caring, supporting, wise, off-the-wall, creative, stubborn, daring, welcoming, humble people I've ever known.   And you're one of them.  I'm sure I could come up with more adjectives, but it's time for bed.  Here's to changing and lengthening lives!

I hadn't thought about that, and I still wish I had never smoked. But 1 positive is, finding this site. These people have stuck by me for several yrs. and many attempted quits. I truly believe that this is my forever quit, and I could not have done it without the people here. And now you're one of them.

It is really heartwarming when one of the newbies considers himself already one of us; to me it is the solid proof the newbie will make it to eldership!

All of us probably, at one time or another, sang praises to this team, for we all recognized without EX, we would not be where we are today.

But your blog is such a beautiful tribute to what this community can do for a quitter, thank you!

We all come here shy, doubtful, with no high expectations, and in a short while not only do we start understanding ourselves, our quits, and what this community is doing for us, but by sharing our own experiences, we become ourselves contributors. You are one, thank you!

What a delightful blog, you are really doing amazingly well!  I wracked my brain trying to figure out what vaping or smoking were good for before I read this.  I love it and I am seriously impressed with all of the contributions you have made to this site already.  CONGRATULATIONS!

Great perspective! Taking a negative and turning it into a positive. It’s just like all the struggles that we walk through in life. I believe God is building our character and the hardships we face help do this.
