The Secret To A Forever Quit

There is only one secret to a forever quit. Decide not to smoke each and every day NO MATTER WHAT.

 

Smoking EVER – no matter what life throws at you - is optional. Understand that, as an addict, there is never going to be such a thing as “just one” for you. You can always decide not to give up on your quit. You never have to go through Day One again. It's ALL up to you!

What ELSE can you do?

Go for a walk

Call a friend

Come to the site and read

Play a computer game

Blog “HELP” here and wait for us to talk you off the ledge

Go for another walk

Do a few toe touches or wall push-ups

Take slow/deep breaths, starting with this and going slower and deeper as you repeat

I smoked until a vascular surgeon informed me of the damage I had done to myself by doing so. I quit 11 years ago, and I can swim laps virtually FOREVER now, walk most other days 40 minutes to an hour and a half. What a difference quitting has made in my life! I strive to help others find this wonderful freedom from addiction, too.
