The Final Countdown

Good morning!  Well, tomorrow is The Big Day!  Today I will go through the house and make sure that everything related to cigarettes are indeed gone.  It is supposed to get up to 39° today, so that will give me the opportunity to open up the windows and air out the house.

**I know this sounds silly, but once my taste buds have 'recovered,' I am looking forward to making Camarones y Arroz Amarillo It is one of my favourite dishes.

Wonderful, exciting news. Jump in and don't look back. You are giving up nothing of value. You are gaining tremendous benefits for becoming a non-smoker. Congradulations!  3 days and nicotine is out of your system. You are ready. You can do it! You are doing it! I live with a smoker. Glad you two are doing this together. Preperation and support is key.

We are all rooting for you, Barry!! You have many people here who have been in your shoes so if you need encouragement, hop on and read blogs, reach out to us fellow ex-ers and before you know it, you will be crossing off the days, then weeks and months! What worked best for me the first few days/weeks was lots of water, deep breaths, sugar free Reese's cups or sugar free hard candy. Sometimes if the craving was bad, I would drop and do a few push ups. Congratulations!
