I spent the last week listening to Alan Carr The Easy Way to Quit.
I spent time and gave much attention to understanding his method. Replayed chapters until my brain was rewired. His method works! I am a happy non smoker after 40 years of heavy smoking! Fabulous!

I am so glad you found the Carr book helpful.  It was one of the keys to my success at quitting!  It's why I recommend it to all who join us here.

You are still early in your journey, but hope his words will help you as you move forward.  Remember that quitting never killed anyone; the same cannot be said for smoking.

Keep going!  Stay committed!   Stay in touch!

Allen Carr's book helped me also.  I found the book, about 2 weeks into my quit and it helped propel me forward.  It helped me understand that I was not giving up anything by quitting smoking.  I was GAINING back everything that I had lost by smoking.  It helped change my attitude, so that I could start seeing benefits and not dwelling on the loss of nicotine in my life.  I know it's a corny saying but truly, "Attitude is everything".

Hi, Bishops -- That book absolutely changed my attitude about quitting, and it's what finally powered my quit 9 years ago. I had smoked heavily for 53 years, thought I was going to be the last smoker on the planet, felt that I loved smoking and that cigarettes were my best friend. When I had tried to quit before I felt constantly deprived, and the quits didn't stick (one was for three years, that I now describe as the same thing as a "dry drunk." Allen Carr's book blasted that illusion of deprivation right out of my mind. I don't know how far along you are in your quit, but trust what you've learned from Carr and you will look back years from now saying "that's how I did it."
